Overview

A cost-sharing grant covering 30 to 50 percent of project costs, to a maximum of R50 million, for black-owned manufacturers - the percentage depends on level of black ownership and control, economic benefit and project value. It also part-funds feasibility studies (max 3 percent of projected investment), post-investment support (max R500,000) and business development services (max R2 million). You need more than 51 percent black ownership with genuine management control and personal risk; since 1 June 2026 all applications go through the dtic Online Incentive Solution portal.
