Overview

The Land Bank flagship development product is the Blended Finance Scheme, run with the Department of Agriculture: qualifying black producers get a conditional grant blended with a Land Bank loan (priced at market rates) for land acquisition, capital expenditure, and production or working capital - the grant is never standalone. Applicants must be black South Africans (B-BBEE Act definition) running commercially viable enterprises in Master Plan commodities, hold at least 60 percent ownership in any joint venture, provide 10 percent farm-worker profit sharing, and score at least 20 of 50 on the economic-benefits scorecard. The scheme is open and actively disbursing - apply via Land Bank provincial offices or the e-services portal.
