MTN Xlerator (Enterprise and Supplier Development)
The real MTN ESD vehicle is Xlerator, launched October 2023, which aims to grow MTN procurement spend with 51 percent+ black-owned SMMEs by R4 billion over two years and double its black-owned supplier base. It offers supplier-database access, business strategy and skills development, and facilitated funding access through finance partners such as Payabill - it does not hand out grants of a fixed size. Eligibility: at least 51 percent black ownership, black key staff managing daily operations, at least 6 months in operation, annual turnover under R500 million. Apply at mtn.co.za/xlerator.
